Measurement shouldn’t just be about the head, it should be about the heart

At Make Good Measurement we get to the real story behind the figures. That’s why we’re a pioneer in impact measurement AND storytelling.

Overview

When people talk about campaign measurement it’s usually limited to measuring advertising, marketing or communications activity. At Make Good Measurement, we believe you should be able to measure any planned initiative that has a defined outcome rooted in social or environmental change or impact — be it an advertising campaign, a project or program of work. That’s what we call a ‘campaign’. We also believe this measurement should be easy to understand, genuinely useful, and focused on what really matters.

Our mission is to take measurement of all these sorts of campaigns further than clicks, reach and engagement. Instead, we focus on whether a campaign truly made a difference. Our work helps uncover real social and environmental outcomes, showing what changed, and why it matters.

By gathering real evidence of change and translating it into economic and social value, we help organisations clearly understand impact, attract resources and funding, unlock potential for meaningful change and provide clear evidence of return on investment for funders. We call this Campaign Impact Measurement. Because we — like you — want to know the real impact campaigns have on people and planet.

To do this, we work with organisations from start to finish. We help design measurement before a campaign begins, track impact as it happens, and turn complex findings into clear, meaningful stories that people can connect with.

At MGM, we don’t just measure impact.
We help make it clear, meaningful and valuable.

Measuring impact only works if people can trust the results. That’s why we’ve built an impact verification process that’s independent, transparent and robust.

At Make Good Measurement, our role is to provide independent third-party measurement, calculation and validation of campaign impact. We use clear guidelines developed alongside an independent advisory members to guide how impact is measured and assessed.

Together, this approach helps ensure impact isn’t just claimed, it’s measured, checked and trusted.
